BUSINESS MEETING OF WESTERCON 67

The meeting of the 67th Westercon was called to order at 11:37 a.m. on July 5, 2014 in the Marriott Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a quorum of 15 members present.

1. COMMITTEE REPORTS

There were no active committees to report to the Business Meeting.

2. PENDING BYLAW AMENDMENTS

There were no amendments passed by the Westercon 66 Business Meeting.

4. NEW BUSINESS

There were no bylaw amendments passed by the Westercon 66 Business Meeting to be passed on to Westercon 67 for ratification.

5. ANNOUNCEMENTS

In view of the absence of the site selection administrator, the announcement of site selection results for Westercon 69 was made by Kevin Standlee. The breakdown of the vote is as follows:

Lea Rush announced that Westercon 69, will be held Friday-Monday, July 1-4, 2016, at the Doubletree Hotel, in Portland, Oregon. John Scalzi will be GOH; David Levine, Fan GOH; and Charles Stross will be Special Guest.

Until the end of Westercon 67, attending membership for Westercon 69 is $40 for those who did not presupport and vote. Presupporters will receive a $10 credit; those who presupported and voted will receive a $15 credit. Friends who voted are attending members. The rates go up by $5 after the conclusion of Westercon 67, and the new convention’s website will be westercon69.org.

With no new business, the Westercon 67 Business Meeting adjourned sine die at 11:45 a.m.
