ConJosé (Worldcon 2002)

Published by

In 2002 SFSFC hosted the World Science Fiction Convention. Called ConJosé, the convention took place in San José, California from August 29 to September 2. The archived web site of the convention can be found here.

If you’re interested in where a Worldcon’s money comes from and goes to, we’ve included here a copy of the final post-convention version of ConJosé’s budget. It’s an Excel spreadsheet, so you’ll need something that reads XLS files to read it. ConJosé’s co-chairman Kevin Standlee also wrote an article about the convention’s finances including charts showing the major sources of convention income and major expenses.

All of ConJose’s financial affairs were reported to the World Science Fiction Society in accordance with the WSFS Constitution’s “sunshine” rules. Further details are available upon request.
